The second end-of-life vehicle (ELV) facility in the country has been officially endorsed by Toyota Motor Philippines.
Located in Naic, Cavite, the plant is operated by Standard Insurance and stands proud as the second of its kind in the country, and the fifth to be recognized by Toyota in Southeast Asia. Spanning 8,840sqm, it has an annual dismantling capacity of 850 vehicles a year, or about six cars per day.

The endorsement comes as part of the Toyota Global 100 Dismantlers Project, which aims to promote safe vehicle disposal and recycling by supporting ELV facilities worldwide. As mentioned, the Standard Insurance ELV facility has received TMP’s second seal of approval, following the brand’s first endorsement of the En Tsumugi ELV facility in 2024.
TMP president Masando Hashimoto then relayed the brand’s gratitude and sentiment for this new facility: “We are very grateful to Standard Insurance for its voluntary resolve, making Toyota customers also feel assured with a proper place for ELVs to go... Our collective efforts are a clear testament to our long-term commitment to carbon neutrality and ‘Establishing a Recycling-based Society and Systems’ under the global Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050.”
This project also bolsters the existing partnership between Standard Insurance and TMP, with the former already a coverage partner under the Toyota Insure program. Pioneer Insurance and MAGAAP Insurance have recently joined Toyota Insure, offering customers even more options in policies and coverages.
