After selling 11,361 units in 2025, the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) announced its intention to participate in more government infrastructure projects, support logistics demands, and increase investments in fleet improvements.

While also promoting more road safety initiatives, the group believes that these actions will contribute to overall industry growth and more sustainable employment for Filipinos nationwide.

Spearheading all of this will be the association’s new president, Robert Carlos from Isuzu Philippines. “This year, TMA will take a more active role in participating on government programs and initiatives, particularly those focused on road safety, environmental protection, and possibilities to strengthen local truck manufacturing,” said Carlos.

Carlos and Isuzu are coming off a strong 2025, after the Japanese brand took the triple crown in truck sales, as it led all three major vehicle segments. Last year also marked Isuzu’s 26th consecutive year atop the local industry, after it posted a 42.2% market share with 4,794 trucks sold.

The TMA and its new president will also be working closely with chairman emeritus, Vicente Mills Jr., of Hino Motors Philippines. He will be providing guidance and strategic direction as the association attempts to achieve its new goals.
