V-Green has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the provincial government of Bataan to improve the locality’s electric vehicle infrastructure. The agreement will see 1,200 battery-swapping stations and 600 charging hubs built across one city and 11 municipalities within the province.

The Vietnamese company will be responsible for establishing the facilities and then maintaining them once operational. On the other end, the provincial government will assist in coordinating with local public offices for permits and strategic locations.

Overall, these new stations aim to encourage more motorists to switch to electric vehicles. Later this year, Vietnamese carmaker VinFast will also introduce its line of e-scooters, to be offered as alternatives to gasoline-powered two-wheelers.

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to advancing sustainable mobility in our province. By working with V-Green, we are building the foundation for an EV ecosystem that promotes innovation, strengthens environmental responsibility, and prioritizes long-term development,” said the governor of Bataan, Hon. Jose Enrique S. Garcia III.

To further support its e-scooters, VinFast ultimately aims to set up 30,000 battery-swapping stations across the Philippines. With that, more partnerships are likely in the pipeline. V-Green had just also signed another MOU with Clean Fuel to erect more charging stations in Cavite, while more locations in Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu are being explored.

The global CEO of V-Green, Nguyen Anh Quynh, explained, “Expanding EV infrastructure requires both scale and accessibility. Through our partnerships with government and private sector stakeholders, we are building a charging network that supports real-world usage and makes electric mobility more practical for Filipino drivers.”
