VinFast has just unveiled two new flagship models in its ultra-luxury Lac Hong line: the Lac Hong 800S and the Lac Hong 900S. These models will join the flagship Lac Hong 900LX (including the version with world-class armor) to complete VinFast’s lineup.
The Vietnamese manufacturer’s portfolio currently consists of three lines. Apart from the prestigious Lac Hong, the Green range provides EVs for commercial use, offering models like the Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green, and Minio Green. The VF models, on the other hand, are mass-market passenger EVs like the VF3, the VF9, and the seven-seater VF MPV7.
Styling-wise, the 800S SUV adopts a bold, powerful stance, while the 900S sedan has a more timeless, elegant presence. Both use the same power unit: a tri-motor powertrain with one front motor and two rear motors delivering a combined output of 460kW or 617hp. For suspension, both cars are equipped with an all-new, fully active system to ensure premium ride comfort without compromising dynamic stability.

The new Lac Hong cars were inspired by Vietnamese cultural heritage, with design cues throughout the vehicles. The grilles feature vertical slats resembling Vietnamese bamboo, wing-shaped emblems replicate an ascending Lac bird, and multiple motifs inspired by Dong Son bronze drums and rice terraces appear in both the exterior and the interior. The ‘Lac Hong’ logotypes are even crafted in calligraphy and rendered in genuine gold-plated alloy.
Inside, the 800S and 900S use napa leather, rare wood, and refined gold-plated accents alongside other top-tier materials. Both models feature advanced intelligent tech and safety systems. Other features include zero-gravity executive seating, automatic power-assisted doors, and a premium entertainment system.
The 900S adds a privacy partition that separates the cockpit from the rear cabin, as well as a starlight headliner, a large-format projection entertainment system, and a foldable workstation.
Both the Lac Hong 800S and Lac Hong 900S are set to launch in 2027. Until then, all we can do is be mesmerized by the images VinFast has given us so far.
