During the recent 2025 Manila International Auto Show, you may have noticed a colorful VinFast VF3 on display at the VinFast Philippines booth. That very unit actually took the grand prize in the ‘VF 3: Brave New Imagination Creators Challenge,’ and was designed by graphic artist Warren Carlo Trinidad.
Dubbed ‘Lakbay (Journey),’ the winning design was “inspired by travel, as it’s how I unwind and reconnect with myself,” Trinidad said. “This contest gave me the perfect canvas to mix what I love most: creativity, culture, and color. I’m excited to take my new VF 3 on the road with Lakbay on full display!”

That’s right—he gets to keep the VF3 bearing his design. The other top finalists, meanwhile, went home with cash prizes.

VinFast is of course a Vietnamese brand, but the local subsidiary has been collaborating with local artists and creatives to further strenghtn its brand presence in the country. It recently appeared in a music video of P-pop group Kaia, reflecting its efforts to reach younger car buyers.

The VF3 does make for a good starter car and point of entry into EV ownership. It’s priced at P745,000 with the battery included, but buyers who opt for battery subscription instead will shell out P645,000 for a brand-new unit. Monthly battery subscription fees, meanwhile, range from P2,800 to P6,300, based on monthly travel distance. You can learn more about that as well as the car’s specs and features here.
New owners like Trinidad will be happy to know that the brand currently has six local dealerships and more than 60 service points in development. VinFast’s tie-up with Jiga also provides after-sales service support at over 100 authorized facilities.
