The plug-in hybrid versions of the Volvo XC90 T8 and XC60 T8 SUVs are currently on offer with hefty P500,000 discounts. It’s not every day we see great deals on flagship models, but Volvo Cars Philippines and its official distributor, Hariphil Asia Resources, are making some of their best offerings just a bit more accessible.
Regularly priced at P5.45 million, the seven-seater XC90 is the largest car in the Swedish brand’s stable. This version offers up to 77km of pure electric driving, while advertising industry-leading safety and luxury. With the discount applied, buyers can pick up a brand-new plug-in hybrid XC90 for P4.95 million.

Volvo’s best-selling XC60 received a facelift just last year and is now available with a considerable price reduction. That puts the final cost at P4.05 million, as it retails for P4.55 million normally. Its electric driving range is rated at 80km, which should be plenty for city trips.

And you can expect those drives to be mighty comfortable. In his review, Top Gear Philippines managing editor Leandre Grecia commended the XC60’s handling and comfort.

“Through corners, it felt planted, and it felt like I was driving a powerful, turbocharged wagon, not a somewhat chunky crossover,” said Leandre. “Comfort was also top-notch, with the vehicle just absorbing minor road bumps all while keeping the cabin incredibly quiet.”
