Have you run out of shows to binge on while stuck in quarantine? If you have (like many of us here), then here’s something that might be of interest to you: Mike Brewer’s World of Cars.
The show is set to premiere on Discovery Channel on Thursday, October 15 at 9pm. It’s definitely something that gearheads—especially old-school enthusiasts—should check out. In this show, presenter Mike Brewer sets out to find forsaken classic cars and bring them back to life.
Brewer says that both a diverse cast of personalities and a handful of interesting classic cars can be seen throughout the course of the show, as well as absurd builds such as drag cars and monster trucks.
“I got to speak with Gene Winfield, a 94-year-old artisan who still twists and bends metal and makes amazing hot rods. I also went all the way over to England where a 1960 Mini body shell was being made with the original factory machinery today as a brand-new body shell,” Brewer said.
The guy also shared his experience with the lowrider culture, one which he gets to explore in one of the episodes. “Most people would think that members of the lowrider culture in Los Angeles are threatening but they were actually the most loving, wonderful, family-oriented people I’ve ever met,” he added.
What say you? Will you be marking your calendars for this one?
