According to a company insider, Motor Image Pilipinas will try to price the Subaru BRZ as competitively as its twin coupe and current toast of the motoring community, the Toyota 86. The BRZ, which will be launched in the Philippines in the first quarter of 2013, already has 22 reservations as we write this, says our source.
Our informant also adds that the BRZ will only be available in two variants: Premium and Standard. These two variants will both sport bodykit, so they are essentially the same as the top-of-the-line 86 Aero variant. The only difference is that the BRZ Premium will be equipped with automatic transmission, while the BRZ Standard will have a manual shifter.
"We've set the reservation fee as high as P50,000 to somehow manage the demand, but people are still giving us their money," our source says.
Now that you know Motor Image will at least try to price the BRZ as reasonably as the 86, will you wait for its arrival next year or will you stick to its Toyota twin? Take the poll.
