After inaugurating BYD Davao last year, ACMobility has continuously expanded its EV operations throughout Mindanao, most recently holding a BYD Tech Tour in Cagayan de Oro last June.
There, the company announced that it now has nine EV charging stations across the island group, with its next one set to be installed in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur. With its nine stations in Mindanao, ACMobility’s ‘Philippine EV Spine’ now has at least 100 active charging hubs in the country.
That spine stretches from Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, where ACMobility’s northernmost EV charger is located, all the way down south to BYD Davao and eventually to Zamboanga del Sur.

By the end of 2025, the Ayala Corporation’s mobility arm expects the Philippine EV Spine to boast at least 700 charge points, which means activating at least 600 more in the coming months.
And it looks like the company is up to the challenge, judging by the statement of its mobility infrastructure head Carla Buencamino: “We are committed to building a reliable, inclusive EV charging network that supports the growing adoption of electric vehicles in Mindanao and throughout the Philippines. Through our Philippine EV Spine program, we’re laying the groundwork for a future where every Filipino can drive electric with convenience and confidence.”
ACMobility also aims to supply the country’s electrified vehicles, as it just launched the BYD Sealion 5 DM-i, BYD Cars Philippines’ latest PHEV and smaller sibling to the popular Sealion 6 DM-i. It bolsters an already expansive lineup of full EVs and hybrids, and the automotive industry is still expecting a few more BYD releases this year.
