Sad news from the automotive community today: Angie Mead King’s Acura NSX just burned down on the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX). She shared a video on Instagram of the unfortunate incident.

If you follow King on social media, you might have noticed she’s been sharing this same red NSX on her Instagram stories as she just got it out of the shop. She even posted content on it just hours before all this happened. It’s a sad loss, but the most important thing is she’s safe, and nobody else was hurt.

King has since posted an update after the first video. She’s already had the car—or at least what remains of it—towed out from SLEX. She said that there were modifications done to the car, so there are a lot of possible reasons the fire started. She also shared how her lungs hurt a bit, as she had to drive with the rear burning just before the car finally dropped.

We’ll be following King’s social media accounts, and we’ll try to get a statement from her once she’s able to regroup and sort everything out so we know what actually happened.
