The Manila-Cavite Expressway (Cavitex) will suspend the collection of toll fees for 30 days, for all motorists accessing the tollway in Taguig, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Bacoor, and Kawit.

The toll-fee suspension was initiated by Cavitex operator Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), and announced by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on June 21 during the inauguration of the Cavitex C5 Link Sucat Interchange. On the same day, the President also led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cavitex-CALAX Link and Cavitex C5 Link Segment 3B.

“This [toll-fee suspension] will introduce our new roads, expressways to those who are in need of that transport system,” he said.

“So, we welcome this call and thank the PRA for its initiative to help mitigate the impact of rising fuel costs to our motorists. I now count on our Toll Regulatory Board to ensure the immediate implementation, for the benefit of the riding and the transport public.”

We’ve reached out to the PRA and the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) for the exact implementation period of the toll-fee suspension. In a statement on June 24, the PRA said it is “awaiting a formal resolution from the TRB.” This story will be updated as soon as we get more information.

Cavitex toll fees last increased in August 2023. Currently, Class 1 vehicles pay P35 for the section from Seaside to Zapote, and P73 from Zapote to Kawit. For Class 2 vehicles, toll fees are P70 and P146, respectively, while Class 3 vehicles pay P104 and P219, respectively.

Cavitex C5 Link Sucat Interchange

The newly opened Cavitex C5 Link Sucat Interchange, which connects Cavitex to Sucat Road, is currently free to use; here’s a full guide to its access points. Segment 3B, which spans around 2km and will be completed sometime in 2025, is the final phase of the tollway, connecting Sucat to C5.

Finally, the 1.3km Cavitex-CALAX Link will serve as a direct connection between Cavitex and the Cavite-Laguna Expressway. It will also be completed in 2025.
