After kicking off on December 24, 2025, the EDSA Rehabilitation Project is now 31% completed, as reported by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
It looks like the project is on track to meet its original completion date on May 31, 2026. Currently, the northbound lanes from Roxas Boulevard to Taft Avenue are being overlaid with a new, more durable kind of asphalt. Segments from Tramo to Magallanes, and Magallanes back to Taft Avenue are also being worked on.

In the coming weeks, construction will shift to the southbound section of Taft Avenue to Roxas Boulevard. The U-turn lane on P. Celle in Pasay City will also undergo concrete reblocking.

The DPWH previously reported that the project was actually moving ahead of schedule, with the first phase finishing early on January 4. Road works continue to operate on a nightly basis, from 10pm to 4am.
With over a quarter of the EDSA Rehab Project completed, the DPWH is already looking ahead to the next road improvement initiative. Next in the pipeline is C5, which spans almost 50km across Quezon City, Taguig, Pasig, and Las Piñas. However, the department is also gearing up to launch a rehabilitation project for the 3,300km-long Maharlika Highway. Project designs are currently being drawn up, with the rehab scheduled to start sometime this year.
