Quite a few of our elevated road structures like the Legarda Flyover and the EDSA-Kamuning Flyover are undergoing (much-needed) rehabilitation at the moment—and work on Guadalupe Bridge and Magallanes Bridge will kick off, too, later this year. This month, the EDSA-Kamuning Flyover will also have partial closures for asphalt overlay, but only for two weekends.
Same as last weekend, the northbound section of the EDSA-Kamuning Flyover will be partially closed from July 26 to 29, most likely following the previous schedule: 11pm on Friday until 5am on Monday.

According to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the affected section will undergo asphalt overlay, with work to be carried out lane by lane. “All repair activities will be conducted during nighttime only” to minimize traffic buildup.
“The removal of existing asphalt pavement by rotomilling shall be done first, lane by lane, until the full width of the pavement is completed,” the DPWH advisory reads. “After the rotomilling is completed, asphalt overlay of the rotomilled section will follow. The same procedure will be applied to the remaining area subject to repair.”
If this is your usual route home, be warned that the drive might be slower than usual. If possible, avoid the area by taking alternate routes.
