Good news for EDSA Busway riders: The carousel now has 18 operational elevators on six stations to improve mobility for the general riding public. These elevators were primarily designed to be wheelchair lifts, but other mobility-restricted individuals are welcome to use them as well.
The following six stations are now equipped with three functioning elevators each:
- Monumento
- Bagong Barrio
- Balintawak
- SM North EDSA
- Philam
- Guadalupe
The Department of Transportation has yet to announce if it will install elevators or other mobility-assistance machines in other median and roadside stops along the busway.

Other plans and initiatives are also up in the air because earlier today, May 22, Secretary Vince Dizon of the DOTr submitted his courtesy resignation following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive for all Cabinet secretaries to do so.

Meanwhile, construction on the SM Megamall Footbridge is still underway and is expected to be completed in June 2025, just before the rehab project starts. The footbridge will connect the Ortigas Station of the EDSA Busway to Building A of SM Megamall.
