A couple of weeks ago, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration finally declared the onset of the rainy season--a godsend for the millions of Filipinos sick of dealing with the sweltering heat.
We hate to be buzzkills, but enjoy it while it lasts. The wet weather is going to take a turn for the worse sooner than we'd like, and with it come flooded thoroughfares and endless traffic jams.
In anticipation of this, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has released a list of flood-prone areas to watch out for in the National Capital Region when the rainy season kicks into full swing.
