It appears the Italian police’s Lamborghini Huracan isn’t used just for high-speed chases—it actually serves as a delivery vehicle, too.
The Italian State Police’s supercar was recently used to transport a donor kidney more than 480km across the country—from Padua all the way to Rome, to be exact—in just over two hours. If you do the math, this means the Huracan supposedly ran at an average speed of about 250kph just for this to be even possible.
But then again, with 600+ horses on tap, it’s no surprise that the Huracan and its V10 can complete such a trip. We’d like to think the police made the right move here, too, because according to a report by The Times, driving from Padua to Rome takes about five hours in total. They were able to cut that in half using the Lambo, and it surely made the difference.
Fortunately, the Polizia di Stato was kind enough to share snippets of the journey on social media. By the looks of it, the law enforcers were able to make it in time for the procedure as well, which is what really matters. Check it out below:
Frankly, we wouldn’t mind seeing the police use their supercars like this everyday if it means they get to save lives with each trip. Do you concur?
