No matter what the government does, there always seem to be people still waiting to claim their driver’s licenses. We’re referring to the actual license cards, by the way, not the flimsy temporary ones printed on paper.
The Land Transportation Office’s (LTO) latest attempt to get driver’s license cards into motorists’ wallets is ‘AksyON The Spot.’ Simply put, this is a Viber number that, hopefully, will speed up the license-claiming process for countless drivers.

According to LTO head Vigor Mendoza II, the process is simple. All you need to do is take a photo of your paper driver’s license and send the image to the official AksyON The Spot Viber at 0929-292-0865. Afterward, the agency will “immediately print their driver’s license” at the central office. Motorists who utilize the service will also be given the option to have their newly printed driver’s license card delivered to them via courier service.
“We already downloaded a sufficient supply of plastic cards down to the licensing offices across the country. Kaya dapat lahat ay may plastic-printed driver’s license na dahil wala na pong backlog dito,” Mendoza said in a statement.
According to the LTO, only 5% of drivers affected by the license backlog haven’t claimed their card. Are you one of them? If yes, this service might be worth checking out.
