Anyone who’s been stressing about having to hurry to get their Land Transportation Office (LTO) vehicle registration in order can breathe a sigh of relief—at least if their license plate ends in 3.
The transportation agency has just announced that it is extending the registration period for cars with plates ending in 3 to either March 15, March 22, March 29, or April 9, depending on the middle digit of its plate number. Look:
Last month, the LTO gave the same consideration for vehicles with plate numbers ending in 1 and 2. No doubt the agency is trying to prevent congestion at its offices in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While this is a much-appreciated gesture on the LTO’s part, we sure wish the agency could somehow release a full list of extensions as opposed to announcing them a couple of weeks apart. This would help motorists plan their schedules ahead. Agree?
