Some of you who have had to postpone your planned trips to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) due to the COVID-19 outbreak can now reschedule, as the agency has announced that select branches across the country have reopened.
Some LTO in facilities in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao have now resumed operations. Take note, though, that the list excludes Metro Manila, so residents of the capital will need to wait a bit more. In any case, you can check out the full list of reopened offices via the agency’s Facebook post below:
For those whose driver’s license, motor vehicle registration, or other LTO documents expired during the quarantine period, the agency has waived late renewal penalties in light of the ongoing situation. For more details on that, as well as for information on the proposed renewal schedule, check out our previous story here.
It’s been over two months since the LTO first announced its suspension of operations across Luzon. If you're still waiting for an LTO branch to open in your area, watch this space for more updates.
