Another week, another set of Show Cause Orders (SCO) from the Land Transportation Office (LTO). This time, the agency has summoned three (or more) individuals involved in a viral incident that occurred over the weekend.
Said incident was caught by a fellow motorist’s dashcam, but we’ll spare you the shocking footage. It showed a Toyota Fortuner speeding and counterflowing along E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue in Quezon City before hitting an oncoming motorcycle rider. Immediately after the collision, a fast-approaching Ford Ranger Raptor hard-braked to avoid the accident, causing a rear-end collision with a Toyota Hilux. According to the LTO’s press release, it appeared as if the three vehicles were chasing one another.

The LTO has ordered a 90-day suspension on the licenses of all three drivers and warned against the possible revocation of these licenses. The SCO states that all drivers and registered owners of the vehicles involved in the incident should appear before the Intelligence and Investigation Division at the LTO Central Office on East Avenue, Quezon City.
The agency has also placed all three vehicles under alarm, which prevents any transactions involving any of them until the investigation has concluded. You can view the LTO’s official statement below.
