Ever since the ‘ber’ months hit, heavy traffic has riddled every major business district in Metro Manila. And now that we’re approaching the last weekend before Christmas, we’re only expecting that traffic to get even worse.

That’s exactly the case today, but particularly for roads leading to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Actually, it appears the situation has been much worse than usual today so much so that even Philippine Airlines (PAL) has released a traffic advisory for motorists headed for the airport.

According to PAL, heavy traffic is building up towards the airport, particularly at the NAIA Expressway exits. It is now advising all who have upcoming flights today to make sure they have ample time to get to their respective terminals. Seeing as it’s only noon as of this writing, it’ll be safest to assume things will only get worse from here on.

The advisory reads: “Please allocate extra time in going to the airport to ensure that you will make it in time for your flight. Plan to arrive at the airport at least three hours before your domestic flight, or at least four hours before your international flight.”

NAIA management may have already changed up its airport layout to make entry seamless for passengers, but that won’t affect the traffic situation outside whatsoever. So take note, motorists—plan your trips accordingly so you won’t miss your flights.
