Motorists headed to Terminal 1 and 2 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) as well as Parañaque and Cavite via the NAIA Expressway (NAIAX) now have another point of entry to the toll road with the opening of the NAIAX Tramo access ramp.
Opened on March 1, the 800-meter extension connects Aurora Boulevard in Pasay City—better known as Tramo—to NAIAX. From there, motorists can exit to Sucat Road, Terminals 1 and 2, Cavite, Macapagal Boulevard, and Entertainment City.

“This Tramo access ramp provides another option for motorists heading to the airport, and other areas in Parañaque City and Cavite province,” said Ramon S. Ang, president and CEO of San Miguel Corporation (SMC), which operates NAIAX via subsidiary SMC Tollways. “We believe it can help relieve overall traffic congestion in the area, and improve traffic flow within the vicinity of the airport.”

In February, a consortium led by SMC was awarded the contract to rehabilitate NAIA.
