There’s no denying that the Nissan Patrol is no spring chicken. It’s been around for 14 years (and counting), making it much older than its chief rival, the current-generation Toyota Land Cruiser. Thankfully, the new one is just around the corner, but Nissan isn’t telling us exactly when just yet.
Thankfully, its luxury division, Infiniti, provides a bit of a hint. That’s because the luxury version of the Patrol, the QX80, has finally been previewed. Not only that, the company even announced its debut date.

So, when is this luxe’d-up Nissan Patrol going to be revealed? Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars on March 20, 2024 for the world premiere of this leather lined off-roader.

For now, teaser photos will have to do, but we do see elements of the QX Monograph concept present in the production model. Its big, blunt front end is keeping with tradition, while high-set LED daytime running lights should give it a distinct and bold appearance.
We’re expecting a massive grille here, along with bumper mounted headlights.

The windows appear tall and the windshield posts are upright. There are a couple of things that caught our attention here. First are the hidden door handles. It’s a design characteristic that’s usually seen in concept vehicles, but it’s interesting to find it on the production version as well. Also, the kink on the rearmost window features an ‘Autograph’ script, suggesting a new top of the line variant.
At the back are full-width taillights and a wide tailgate to further emphasize its size. There’s some intricate LEDs there, too; a trend we’ve been seeing in more vehicles this decade.

We’ll have to wait a few more weeks to see the all-new Infiniti QX80 without the camouflage. But once it’s out there, we can expect the next-generation Nissan Patrol to be revealed shortly after.
