The SM Megamall EDSA Busway Station has officially opened, featuring an elevated walkway that connects SM Megamall to the Ortigas station of the EDSA Bus Carousel.
The project opened on April 1, 2026, and provides commuters with a more convenient entry point to the bus station. The pedestrian link features an elevator and sloped pathways, making it easily accessible for wheelchair users. It also has escalators leading up to the overpass.

The elevated walkway is wide and fully covered for protection from harsh weather. If you’ve ever forgotten your umbrella while commuting in the rainy season, you know how much a covered walkway can be a lifesaver for avoiding wet clothes and a cold.

Before the construction of the walkway, commuters had to access the EDSA Carousel through the MRT-3 footbridge. It was a longer and less convenient route that also contributed to congestion. The new access point provides a smoother flow for commuters to the EDSA Carousel helping decongest MRT-3 walkways.
The SM Megamall EDSA Busway Station provides access to the bus carousel platform, serving northbound trips to Monumento and southbound to the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX). Commuters can reach it through the elevated walkway in front of SM Megamall Building A. Is this a station you frequent on your daily commute?
