EDSA Busway users who transit through SM City North EDSA now have an easier way of getting to the bus station from the mall via the newly opened SM North EDSA Busway, which was inaugurated on March 13, 2025.

The SM North EDSA Busway comprises a dedicated bus station and a concourse that connects directly to the mall, SM CyberWest, and the SM North EDSA Public Transport Terminal, and “stands as a symbol of collaboration and commitment to safer, more efficient urban mobility,” stated a post in the SM City North EDSA Facebook page. SM Prime Holdings, the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and the Quezon City local government teamed up for this project.

Aside from providing a sheltered, well-lit path to the EDSA Busway station, the concourse is equipped with stairs, escalators, and elevators to accommodate all passengers, especially those with limited mobility, like the elderly, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs). There’s also a map to guide passengers on where to go (which is useful given how SM City North EDSA has evolved into a multi-building establishment).

The inauguration of the new facility was attended by commuter groups and EDSA Busway advocates, who led the ribbon cutting.

“The SM North EDSA Busway Station is the first in a series of SM Prime initiatives aimed at creating a more connected and livable Metro Manila,” said Jeffrey C. Lim, president of SM Prime Holdings. “We will continue working alongside our government partners to develop and deliver high-impact infrastructure projects that enhance accessibility, efficiency, and overall quality of life.”
