A Toyota 86 meticulously repainted by one of the country\'s top restoration experts won the 2013 Trans Sport Show \"Best of Show\" award in the Contemporary category. Although the powder-blue 86 owned by Coy Enriquez was entered by Emperor Motorsports, the repainting of the car from its stock Ultramarine color and the installation of the Rocket Bunny bodykit were done by Alex Car Restoration. The car became an instant crowd favorite the moment the show opened its doors on its first day.

A 1984 Mitsubishi Lancer, meanwhile, won the \"Best of Show\" award in the Nostalgic category. The car is owned and was meticulously restored by Meds Restoration, from the now-rare GT bodykit to the firm weatherstrips and the clean engine bay. What\'s really noteworthy is that the restoration company won the award on its very first try, beating other car-show veterans and previous Trans Sport Show winners.
