There are two ways you can look at a long-haul bus ride out of town: 1) It’s a chance to sit back, relax, and get some much-needed shut-eye before reaching your destination; or, 2) It’s several hours of you sitting restless and bored out of your mind.
If you view these trips as the latter, chances are you turn to your smartphone for relief—maybe to stream some music, browse social media, or watch a couple of videos on YouTube.
It’s a good way to pass the time if you have a mobile Internet connection, and even then, you need to be careful not to go over your data cap. If this is an issue to you, you might want to look into hopping onto a Victory Liner bus for your next trip, as the company is now offering free Wi-Fi on more than a thousand of its buses.
The bus line has partnered with Globe Business to bring this convenience to its passengers, and a total of 1,044 units will be getting a connection.
“We continuously improve our operations to achieve a level of excellence that is comparable across the transport industry,” Marivic del Pilar, Victory Liner vice president for finance and marketing, said in a statement. “We know how important comfort and value for money [are] for our customers, thus we put our trust in Globe Business to help us deliver a differentiated and one-of-a-kind travel experience.”
How important is a stable and, more important, free Internet connection on long-haul bus rides to you?
