Nissan Motor Philippines takes its sport-utility vehicle to the extreme by coming out with a tougher-looking X-Trail.
The limited-edition Nissan X-Trail Tough Rider is a variant of the second-generation CVT-equipped X-Trail that is packed with features to complement its name.
Up front, the X-Trail Tough Rider is equipped with a new front bumper overrider made from high quality chrome-finished material to not only protect the bumper from scratches and other damages but also to enhance the vehicle's intimidating and aggressive look. Out back, the rear bumper also gets an overrider to prevent it from being scratched or scuffed. Complementing both front and rear treatment are the chrome-finished grille and moldings.
The X-Trail Tough Rider may be tough but it doesn't compromise on safety as it comes with a micro-angle rear sensor that alerts the driver if there’s an obstacle up to 5.5 feet behind the vehicle as it backs up.
Completing the vehicle's masculine look are the three-dimensional headlights and rear combination lamps, fog lamps, integrated Hyper Roof Rail and High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps.
"We've designed the Nissan X-trail CVT 'Tough Rider' Edition to stimulate the Filipino motorists' spirit of adventure," said NMPI president and chief executive Allen Chen. "It is an authentic real SUV that looks tough and is built to handle even the worst elements. With its unbeatable package of style, power and performance with no compromise on comfort and safety, this limited edition of the iconic SUV will allow thrill-seeking travelers to simply pack up their things and go literally anywhere."
The Nissan X-Trail Tough Rider is available in either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive variants at P1.370 million and P1.570 million, respectively.
