McLaren racecar driver Lando Norris finally got over the hump this Formula 1 season and earned his first-ever career win at the Miami GP. Now, the 24-year-old driver has doubled that with his dominant performance at the recently concluded Dutch GP.
How dominant, you might ask? Very. Norris finished 22.896sec ahead of reigning champion Max Verstappen, who also happened to be racing in front of his home crowd. Talk about wanting to make a statement, huh?

Norris started the race in pole position but immediately lost the lead to Verstappen just after launch. McLaren and Norris eventually retook the lead at Lap 18, and neither looked back from there. Following these two drivers at the finishline was Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.
McLaren’s win this weekend marked the largest margin of victory this season as well as the first with a double-digit second lead. This is also Team Papaya’s first win in Zandvoort since 1985, the last one coincidentally being the late Niki Lauda’s last F1 win.
With the results in, Verstappen’s lead in the championship and Red Bull’s in the constructor’s championship have now gotten even smaller. Nine races to go, folks—anything can happen then.
