If you were at the Vios Cup exhibition race at Clark International Speedway last Saturday, you surely witnessed the festive mood that pervaded the air. From Toyota Motor Philippines president Michinobu Sugata and the drivers, to the press people and the car club members, happy individuals beaming positively charged smiles were basking in the party atmosphere. The event was that electric.
Which only means that the one-day racing festival was successful.
And why wouldn't people be grinning from ear to ear? There was great food...free-flowing drinks...music by Ely Buendia and DJ Nina...free use of the track for the car clubs...reverse bungee jumping...gorgeous grid girls. Even autograph seekers got what they wanted from the accommodating celebrity drivers.
Oh, yeah...we almost forgot: There also happened to be a one-make Vios race. And it turned out to be pretty darn good. Which helps explain all the cheerfulness. Check out the photos of these jolly peeps.
