September is Ford Philippines' best month yet for 2012, with the American carmaker's sales up by 68 percent to 964 units from the previous month's 574 units, making it "one of the company’s all-time highest sales months in the Philippines."
Boosting Ford Philippines' September sales was the availability of all four newly launched Ford models, namely, the all-new Ranger, the all-new Explorer with EcoBoost, the all-new Focus, and the much-awaited Mustang.
"Our showrooms across the country are now packed with the widest lineup of vehicles that Ford has ever offered in the Philippines, which is really helping broaden the appeal of our brand to so many new-to-Ford customers," said Ford Group Philippines president Randy Krieger. "The introduction of the Ranger, the Focus, the Mustang and the Explorer with EcoBoost has reinforced our commitment to offer vehicles that are segment leaders in design, smart technology, fuel efficiency and safety."
For the Mustang, deliveries of the 3.7-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8 units have already started with 40 cars being handed over to their owners.
For the Explorer, 118 units moved out of Ford's showroom, making September its best monthly performance since its launch in October 2011.
Sales of the Ranger jumped by 271 percent from the previous month as 156 units were snapped up in September. According to Ford Philippines, more than 600 new Rangers have been delivered to customers across the country.
The Fiesta, according to the company, continues to be a strong seller with sales growing by 28 percent in September from the previous month.
