Toyota Prius owners in the country need not move an inch to get their car fixed.
Toyota Motor Philippines is sending technical representatives right to the homes of Toyota Prius owners to fix the anti-lock brake system (ABS) in the hybrid.
"We will start home service tomorrow and we are doing our best to repair all vehicles immediately," April Rose Francisco from Toyota Philippines' public relations group said in a February 12 email.
Toyota Philippines earlier said it has started contacting customers to inform them about the needed repair on the ABS of the Prius.
The process will take approximately 40 minutes.
Toyota Motor Sales in the United States was the first to announce Prius recall following reports of an "inconsistent brake feel" from users.
More than 20 Toyota Prius units have been sold in the Philippines since its launch in June 2009. Prius units sold in the country are from Japan.
