From January to October this year, Subaru sales in the Philippines grew by 59 percent compared to the same period last year, according to Motor Image Pilipinas general manager Mike Luyun. The distributor is on track to hit an annual sales growth of 70 percent by the end of the year, the executive claimed.
So, which specific Subaru models are responsible for the brand's good showing in our market this year?
"Our best sellers are the Forester and the XV," shared Luyun. "We sell about 80 units of the Forester and about 70 units of the XV every month. In all, we sell around 180 units a month."
The XV would have been the distributor's best-selling model, according to Luyun, had it not been plagued by supply problems.
With the arrival of the BRZ, do you think Subaru's sales figures will soar even higher?
