Automechanika Shanghai 2026

The global automotive industry is set to congregate at Automechanika Shanghai, taking place in the city’s National Exhibition and Convention Center from November 26 to 29, 2025.

Over 7,000 exhibitors are expected at this year’s event, marking a sizeable increase from last year’s 6,500 count. With the ongoing industry shift toward new energy and intelligent-connected vehicles, there are many new stakeholders coming into the scene, and Automechanika Shanghai will be hosting all of them in a 383,000sqm space.

It will be the first time that several of these companies will be at the show, and visitors can expect a larger presence in automotive electronics, connectivity, and assisted driving. Familiar names in engineering and manufacturing will also be present—with a more intentional focus on innovation and modern solutions.

Who will be at the show?

Global automotive giants like SAIC, Stellantis, Changan, Li Auto, Chery, and GAC Aion will put their latest cutting-edge vehicles on display, alongside other concepts and developments they have in store. And those aren’t just vehicles—many of these brands are pushing the needle in assisted driving technology, supply-chain improvements, new energy vehicle charging infrastructure, and other new-energy powertrains, including hydrogen.

Engineering houses from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland will also be at Automechanika Shanghai to present the latest in traditional automotive components, like turbochargers and filters. However, with the use of more robust friction materials, there are untapped applications for these parts in new-energy vehicles and next-generation combustion engines.

Also expected are more exhibits showing new-energy commercial vehicles and the latest advancements in logistics. Tsintel Automotive Technology, in particular, is working on bringing level three and four assisted driving technology to commercial trucks and improving on basic safety functions.

Modernizing the after-sales experience

One of the cornerstones of Automechanika Shanghai is its focus on after-sales service and products. Several exhibits will showcase the latest in diagnostic technology and breakthroughs in tire design for hybrids and EVs, whether they are passenger or commercial vehicles.

Dongfeng Wheel could be at the forefront of these innovations with its 20-inch magnesium-molded alloy rims. Other companies look to complement these latest trends with new tire-repair solutions and cloud-based tire monitoring systems—all calibrated to incorporate these new materials and their impact on vehicle performance.

Speaking of repairs, the event is also hosting exhibitors with specialties in protective film and collision work. Industry experts and developers in fuel technology will likewise present products that aim to mitigate repairs and improve efficiency.
