CAR BRANDS IN THIS ARTICLE

BYD has emerged as one of the most diversified carmakers today. Locally, BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility have built a rapidly expanding ecosystem for sustainable mobility, while globally, the brand has established itself as the leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles.

There are now over 30,000 BYDs on our roads—a milestone achieved through innovative technology and thorough customer care. Beyond showcasing the brand’s electrified vehicles, over 80 BYD dealerships in the Philippines provide after-sales support, nationwide road assistance, and accessible charging points.

Speaking of powering up, ACMobility’s EV charging network stretches across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, ensuring that BYD owners are never too far from a plug. They can conveniently search for the nearest available charger via the Evro app, which also allows them to monitor their vehicles’ charging status and make cashless payments.

That infrastructure and the reliability of BYD’s vehicles were recently put to the test in the record-breaking ‘Drive Electric. Love Pinas.’ nationwide electrified drive, wherein BYD vehicles successfully traversed over 3,500km across 107 cities and municipalities nationwide. The drive earned them two Guinness World Records but, more importantly, proved that nationwide electrified travel is now possible.

The switch to electrification may be daunting, but these systems are now inspiring more Filipino drivers to make the change. With the right vehicle and reliable charging infrastructure, green mobility becomes easier for everyone to adopt.

And with 14 models across the range, there is definitely a BYD that fits the way you drive. If you’re ready to go electric and want to know your options, here’s a guide to the brand’s lineup.

Drive with BYD Super DM-i

BYD Sealion 6 DM-i 2026

BYD’s Super DM-i or plug-in hybrids can do 170km on electric power alone, and also eliminate range anxiety with a combined range of up to 1,600km. That’s with the on-board gasoline-powered generator keeping the BYD Blade battery topped up on the road. Most car buyers are already familiar with the Sealion 6, but the Super DM-i offerings cover a wide range of segments. For added convenience, select models come with free wall chargers.

BYD Seal 5 DM-i

BYD Seal 5 DM-i 2026

The Seal 5 DM-i breathed new life into the local sedan market. The fully loaded Premium variant boasts similar performance as that of DM-i crossovers, but in a more compact form and at a more affordable price point of P1.198 million. The model starts at P958,000, and all variants can deliver over 1,100km in combined driving range.

BYD Sealion 5 DM-i

The Sealion 5 DM-i somehow provides an even more sensible experience, with a smaller 12.9kWh Blade Battery, connected to its 1.5-liter engine. That still makes for a capable driving range of at least 1,000km—and for P1.268 million, the Sealion 5 DM-i is surely hard to beat.

The Sealion 6 DM-i welcomed many Filipinos to the world of electrified mobility. An 18.3kWh Blade Battery and a 1.5-liter gasoline generator make up its Super DM-i powertrain, which can run 100km on electric power alone and more than 1,000km overall. This fan-favorite crossover blends stylish looks, efficient performance, a full suite of driving aids, and features like V2L capability in a package that costs just P1.598 million.

BYD Tang DM-i

BYD reenergized its stake in the premium crossover segment with the Tang DM-i. Equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-liter generator to charge a 21.5kWh battery, it also has a beautifully appointed seven-seater cabin and modern features that will satisfy the most discerning buyers. Its price tag of P2.148 million also makes it highly competitive in its class.

BYD eMax 9 DM-i

Every carmaker needs a people carrier, and BYD provides a worthy option in the eMax 9 DM-i. This seven-seater minivan also uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter mill to recharge its beefy 36.6kWh battery, which is capable of a 170km all-electric range. The range-topper, which gets second-row captain’s chairs and a built-in refrigerator, is available for P3.098 million, but those who prefer a simpler package can get the entry-level variant for P2.778 million.

BYD Shark 6 DMO

This workhorse proves that electrified mobility can get down and dirty, too. The Shark 6 DMO is equipped with dual motors, a turbocharged generator, and an all-wheel drivetrain as standard, with a payload capacity rated at 1,200kg and a total towing weight of 2,500kg. All this is available at a starting price of just P2.388 million.

Drive with BYD EVs

BYD Sealion 7 2026

BYD’s BEV stable spans performance-focused crossovers and family-oriented MPVs—safe and suitable for anything Filipinos may need in a daily driver. Aside from the six-year/150,000km bumper-to-bumper warranty, the BYD Blade battery and the electric motor are also covered by an eight-year/150,000km warranty, giving you the confidence to go fully electric.

BYD Seagull

BYD Seagull 2026

Since its launch in 2024, the Seagull has remained true to its roots. It still stands bright with its subcompact frame and sharp design, while doing its duties as a true city car with 300km of range and a surprising amount of space. It’s also very reasonably priced at P968,000.

BYD Atto 3

BYD Atto 3 2026

The Atto 3 can be considered the benchmark for fully electric crossovers: driving range of 480km, a feature-packed cabin, and up-to-date driving and safety tech. Prices start at P1.638 million for the Dynamic variant, and top out at P1.848 million for the Premium.

BYD eMax 7

BYD eMax 7 2026

Not to be mistaken for a smaller version of the eMax 9 DM-i, the eMax 7 is a fully electric people-carrier with a cabin that can be configured with seven seats. However, the eMax 7 Superior Captain holds six passengers and 580 liters of rear cargo space, and has a range of up to 530km to boot. This variant stickers for P1.548 million, but the more affordable Standard spec has an asking price of P1.768 million.

BYD Sealion 7

The newest addition to the BYD roster, the Sealion 7 punches to 100kph from a standstill in just 4.5sec. Its 82.6kWh Blade battery delivers up to 542km of range and powers a dual-motor AWD system. This compact electric crossover’s price of P2.588 million is also very competitive in this fast-growing segment.

BYD Tang EV

BYD Tang EV 2026

The Dynasty series was one of BYD’s earliest offerings, and today, the Tang EV still stands confidently among its peers. Priced at P3.421 million, it comes with dual motors, a 108.8kWh battery, 530km on a full charge, and a DiSus-C active suspension system to easily transport seven passengers in comfort and luxury.
