Fact: Alden Richards likes nice cars. A few years, ago he shared that his garage consisted of a GMC van (all celebs have a big van for shoots), a Toyota Land Cruiser, a Range Rover Sport, a Jaguar XE, a Mitsubishi Pajero, and a Mercedes-AMG GT S. He even gamely tried our Track Challenge last year, displaying a surprising intensity and competitiveness on our simulator.
He also likes Ferraris, although to our knowledge, he hasn’t bought one. Yet. In 2020, he posed with a red Ferrari 458. And in 2016, at the premiere of his movie with Maine Mendoza, Imagine You and Me, the actor arrived in a white Ferrari 488.
It seems Richards likes appearing in Maranello’s finest metal every three or four years. In his Instagram account he posted a video of his attendance at the recently concluded GMA Gala. Apparently, there was a big event over the weekend and all we know is that it was hosted by the GMA Network, and it was a gala. Just browse our sister site if you want to know more.
The car Richards chose is a Ferrari 488 again, but in Spider form this time. The 488 is a mid-engined sports car introduced in 2015. It’s powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It has since been superseded by the F8.
The 488 may not be the latest in the Italian carmaker’s lineup, but it still has looks and performance in spades. And it’s still expensive AF. A quick search on Facebook Marketplace shows secondhand examples trading for P18-22 million.
Will we see the Prancing Horse badge and Richards again in three years? Will he finally add one to his garage? Is he waiting for the right time? Time will tell.
