Are you an American looking for a manual roadster that you’ll never actually drive? Oh, boy, do we have the car for you.
This is a 2001 Honda S2000 that’s currently listed on US auction site Cars & Bids, and the reason you’ll never hear that 2.0-liter VTEC engine at its 9,000rpm redline is that this particular S2000 has just under 1,530km on the clock.

Yep, despite being a 23-year-old car, this is basically as-new. Interestingly, it does have a couple of modifications despite being hardly used: There’s an aftermarket Comptech intake and cat-back exhaust system, and the rear bumper was repainted to repair some scuffs back in 2019. That’s it.

It’s quite the time capsule having mainly been kept in warm-climate states in the US. That all-black interior looks pretty much mint, and the factory aero kit just reminds us how good the S2000 looked all that time ago.

At the time of writing, bidding is up to $36,500 (around P2.05 million) with a few days left to run on the auction, so if you’re considering a bid make sure you get in quick. Just remember to swap out those 2001 tires if you do actually intend to use the thing.
