The 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed saw some highly anticipated debuts from various automakers. Included were the Jaguar Type 01, the Honda Super-One, and the Denza Z9 GT. The cars each had their turn on the Goodwood Hill Climb, giving spectators a chance to see how they perform in the metal.

The Jaguar Type 01 (shown above) was previewed earlier this year and made its dynamic debut at the hill climb wearing full camouflage. While the track revealed the four-door grand tourer’s heft—with body roll apparent in the corners and under braking—it also revealed what that tri-motor setup can do, propelling the Type 01 along the straights with 986hp and 1,299Nm of torque

With a smaller stable of horses, the Honda Super-One (aka Super-N) made its hill climb debut with British racing driver Jessica Hawkins behind the wheel. The tiny not-a-kei-car ran nimbly through each corner, unleashing all of its 94hp in Boost Mode.

Meanwhile, the Denza Z9 GT, known for debuting BYD’s second-generation Blade battery and Flash Charging capability, also made its UK dynamic debut at the Goodwood Hill Climb. This time, instead of range or charging time, the four-door fastback showcased its pace. Similar to the Jaguar Type 01, the Z9 GT uses a tri-motor setup and delivers 1,140hp and 1,150Nm of torque.

The festival also gathered some of the quickest race cars in the world. From enthusiast-built machines like the Toyota-Judd Formula Supra to performance division projects like the Ford Mustang Super Mach-E, and even new-generation open-wheelers like the Formula E GEN4, the event showcased raw performance from different motorsport genres all in one place.

The annual Goodwood Festival of Speed is a huge celebration of car culture while also being a test bed for racing teams and car manufacturers to showcase new products and projects. Check out the best of all the Goodwood debutants, as well as the fastest cars that tackled the hillclimb over the weekend.
