You know how the next two Fast and Furious films are supposedly going to be the last in the franchise? Yeah, it’s kind of a hard idea to buy—especially when you consider how the series keeps adding big-name celebrities to its ever-growing cast.
The latest member of the Fast family is none other than Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson. Franchise original Vin Diesel recently took to Instagram to welcome Larson to the cast, saying the character she’ll be playing in Fast 10 will be “timeless and amazing.”
“Clearly there is love and laughter in this image,” Diesel said, referring to the selfie of him and Larson he posted on Instagram. “What you don’t see, however, is the character you “will be introduced to in Fast 10.”
“You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect, her Oscar, is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the family, Brie.”
That’s a lot of praise—it kind of makes it look like Diesel may be the ultimate buddy on set. Just don’t ask Dwayne Johnson for his opinion regarding the matter.
Anyway, Fast 10 will supposedly be the second-to-last film in the Fast and Furious franchise and is scheduled to hit cinemas in May 2023. What do you think Larson will bring to the table for this movie?
