In our review of the seven-seat Hyundai Santa Fe, we concluded that it had the makings of a great family car, but was predictably lacking a little bit of excitement.
Well, we’ll have to watch our words in future, because Polish tuner Carlex Design has taken the Santa Fe and added a whole lot more “excitement” in the form of a mad bodykit and interior redesign.
Carlex’s creation is called the ‘Urban Edition,’ and it sports a humungous front grille, hefty wheel-arch extensions, and a not-so-subtle two-tone paint job, as well as a roof spoiler, a diffuser, and quad-exit exhaust round the back.
Need a lie-down? We suggest you don’t do it inside. In there, you’ll find lashings of new leather and alcantara, which are complemented by lime-green accents that match the brake calipers. On a Santa Fe. The world truly has gone mad.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a tuned SUV without massive wheels, either, but we’re not actually sure how massive these are. Oh, and we haven’t been told whether there are any engine upgrades to go with the new exhaust system. Don’t expect Lamborghini Urus or Bentley Bentayga Speed levels of power in any case.
Carlex Design says the first country to get the Urban Edition will be South Korea, closely followed by Poland.
