Do you guys remember what the outside world looks like? We sure do. We miss seeing the beach and the trees. But instead of weekend jaunts to the seaside or even a quick drive to Tagaytay, the past few months have turned into this continuous cycle of work-sleep-work. It’s been exhausting.
But for people like Katrina, life inside her van and on the road is the way to go. She converted her Suzuki DA62 Big Eye van into a tiny home that she can just park in the city during weekdays and take on out-of-town adventures during the weekends.
Katrina shares that her ‘van life’ started with her sleeping in her Suzuki during her breaks at work. And when she discovered how to fold down the seats, she immediately put in a mattress and went on an overnight trip.
By living in her mobile tiny home, Katrina is able to work at a pharmacy in the morning and at a BPO company at night. And how much did she spend to set up her house on wheels? The van itself was purchased for P215,000, and the customizations were done for around P2,000 to P5,000.
