If you read our monthly magazine, you should be quite familiar with this section called Traffic Stopper. One of the most popular sections of the mag, it features stunning women who have a connection with cars. Auto industry executives, race car drivers, car show models, even regular car owners are the usual subjects.
The beauty of Traffic Stopper is that the subject need not be a celebrity or a sexy star like Aubrey Miles to grace our pages. She just needs to be charming and crazy about cars. Pretty simple, right?
And now, we will do something that we've never done before--feature someone nominated by you. We have always handpicked our Traffic Stoppers, but for our upcoming September 2015 issue--our 11th anniversary issue, by the way--we will let readers nominate their friend, sister, officemate, girlfriend or even wife for the section.
How to nominate someone? Simple:
1. E-mail a high-resolution photo (horizontal, please) of your nominee to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may use the Traffic Stopper photographs you see here as a guide.
2. Include the following information about your nominee:
* Her full name
* Her occupation
* Her age
* Her relationship to you
* Her contact number
3. State briefly in your e-mail why your nominee should be our Traffic Stopper for our September 2015 issue. In other words, what are her qualifications as a car person? A 100-word description of the person should suffice.
Now, we want to point out that ladies may nominate themselves, too. In fact, we prefer self-nomination because that means the person is really game for the magazine feature. And speaking of being game, we ask those who will nominate a candidate to please ensure that their nominee will agree to do the magazine pictorial should she get picked.
We will receive nominees until 12 midnight of July 24, Friday.
We will then sort out the nominees and choose the 10 best ones. We will create a poll on this website in which readers may vote for their favorite nominee. We will contact the top three vote-getters to meet with them in person. Finally, we will decide which one is our Traffic Stopper for our September issue after this face-to-face meeting.
Okay, guys. You know what to do. Your friend, sister, officemate, boss, cousin, neighbor, girlfriend or wife could be our next Traffic Stopper!
