Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson--yeah we're not even going to try figuring out how to pronounce that--is one, massive fellow. The 29-year-old Icelandic professional strongman and actor is so big, in fact, that he plays Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane in HBO's hit fantasy television series Game of Thrones.
Just a quick segway for those of you unaware of who The Mountain is: Gregor Clegane is the biggest, most feared warrior in all of Westeros, where the series is set.
Anyway, the show's producers couldn't have chosen a better actor to portray the beast than the six-foot nine-inch, over 400lb Hafþór. The dude once carried a 1,433lb log over five steps and is capable of deadlifting 1,000lb tires.
Unfortunately, all that strength and size comes at a price. Hafþór recently met with internet drifting sensation Ken Block, who gave him the honor of riding shotgun inside the famed Ford Mustang RTR 'Hoonicorn.'
Well, the honor of trying to fit inside anyway. Because no matter what the actor did, he just couldn't manage to squeeze his gigantic frame inside Block's tiny muscle car.
"Very cool to meet this extra large Icelandic human here at the Forza Horizon 4 launch event: “The Mountain”. Or to non-Game Of Thrones fans, @thorbjornsson, aka the current strongest man in the world," Block wrote in an Instagram post.
"I’m a big fan (pun intended) of his work on #GoT and I think he’s a fan of my Ford Mustang Hoonicorn V2; minus the fact he didn’t fit in it for a ride!"
Bummer. For crying out loud, can someone on set please get this man a Ford F-150 Raptor? You can check out a video of Hafþór trying to fit inside Block's ride below.
