Honda’s vintage scooters have maintained a cult following over the decades. These bikes are quirky and fun, and it’s no wonder they’re so loved among the community.
There’s one that’s currently being auctioned off via BringATrailer, and it’s a two-wheeler we don’t exactly see here in our market: a 1988 Honda Elite CH250. Not only is this a much bigger bike than the Dios and Cubs that many pinoys still have but it also doesn’t have that typical two-stroke from generations past. It’s powered by a 244cc SOHC four-stroke, carbureted single-cylinder engine.

This thing looks absolutely retro, and it just screams ’80s. It looks like a scoot from Back to the Future, doesn’t it? Boxy fairings, a large front end, a rectangular headlamp, squarish side mirrors, and that nostalgia-invoking trapezoidal instrument cluster. Said cluster features a 75mph (120kph) speedometer, a digital clock, multiple gauges, and a five-digit odometer. It’s like an Atari on wheels.
The Elite comes equipped with a clear windscreen, a lockable top box, and a passenger backrest. It also has an electric starter, in case you were wondering. The units was acquired from the second owner in 2024, and it comes with an owner’s manual, a tool kit, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name. It’s clocked in just about 10,000km, and 200 of those were ridden by the seller.
The bid for this Honda Elite as of this writing is $755, or just about P44,000. The auction ends in three days. Think this is worth that price tag?
