Halo fans are going to have a field day with this one.
Ken Block recently took to social media to share Hoonigan’s newest build, and boy, is it a neat one. No, it isn’t a modified JDM tire-shredder, nor is it a menacing new muscle car eagerly awaiting a go to a drag strip. Look:
We told you you were going to love it. This vehicle needs no introduction, at least not if you’re someone who grew up gaming in your parents’ house with an Xbox controller in hand. Otherwise, well, say hello to the Warthog—Halo’s go-to vehicle and of the most iconic rides in video game history.
“The Hoonigans built the Warthog from Halo! Every panel inside and out on this thing was built in Area 69 (Hoonigan’s shop space for secret builds) by Suppymk4 and Alex Grimm along with a few other helping hands,” Block said in a Facebook post, adding it was a difficult task keeping this build a secret leading up to its red carpet debut as a display at the Free Guy movie premiere. Block doesn’t go into too much detail here, but he does say that the Hoonigan Warthog comes equipped with the same twin-turbo V8 engine found inside his Hoonicorn V2 and does over 1,000hp. He also added that it uses an off-road suspension, runs on massive 43-inch tires, and features four-wheel steering.
We think it’s safe to say Master Chief would approve of the outcome. What other video game vehicles would you like to see Hoonigan make a reality? Let us know in the comments.
