The things people will do for social media engagement these days.

A supercar owner recently learned an expensive lesson in...actually, we’re not sure what the lesson here is. But for this dude’s sake, we certainly hope there was one. Otherwise, his Lamborghini Aventador literally went up in smoke for a million or so cheap clicks.

So, what exactly is going on here? Well, a couple of supercar enthusiasts are gathered around a Lamborghini trying to cook skewered meat using flames shooting out from its exhaust. Spoiler alert: This clip doesn’t end with a scrumptious stick of barbecue. Watch:

You can already tell something untowardly is about to happen by the way whoever’s behind the wheel is revving the thing. And true enough, the Italian exotic goes up in smoke a couple of seconds into the video, followed by what appears to be coolant trickling out from underneath the supercar. Yikes.

Word of advice for all other supercar owners out there: If you’re looking to get your meat fix, skip the social media stunts and just drop by a high-end Korean barbecue joint. What’s a couple of hundred bucks on overpriced beef compared to having to spend a small fortune to repair a busted V12, right?
