While we can now head out of our homes, it’s still best to avoid spending too much time in crowded indoor spaces and, instead, stretch our legs and walk around in open ones. Salcedo Village in Makati City on November 22 reopened Jaime Velasquez Park, a.k.a. Salcedo Park, which now features more lush greens and bigger space. It also has a new pet park, an improved jogging path, and a renovated children’s playground.

You probably know Salcedo Park as the home of Art in the Park since the outdoor art fair was founded in 2006. It’s also the site of Salcedo Weekend Market since 2005, a popular Saturday destination where you can find sellers for gourmet eats, organic fruits and vegetables, and more—at least, pre-pandemic.
