Nowadays, the ability to drive a manual transmission is fast becoming a rare skill. It's a shame, really. Rowing through gears yourself might sound archaic to some young drivers, but it's a great skill to have at any age. Not to mention you get that 'pure' driving experience that old-timers love to brag about.

That said, even grizzled vets can fall into some bad habits while handling a manual. These driving no-nos might seem harmless to a casual observer, but they can actually wreak havoc on your clutch, transmission, and whatever else if you keep at them for long enough.
