The all-new Mazda CX-5 may have already graced our cover, but that doesn't mean the previous model isn't worth checking out anymore—especially if you're scouring the market for a used, premium crossover.

The first-gen model was the first to sport Mazda's stunning Kodo design language, and it runs on the company's Skyactiv engine lineup. What's more, the dark, minimalist cabin is still one of the best in its class, thanks to top-notch materials and the carmaker's intuitive infotainment system. Plus, it's still one of the nicest crossovers to drive.

Brand-new, the last-gen CX-5 would go for around P1.345 million to P1.985 million. Estimated price now? You can probably nab a used one for between P700,000 and P1.3 million. There are three engines to choose from with varying levels of performance, too.

So, looking for a premium Japanese ride on a budget?  Look no further than the previous iteration of the Mazda's best-selling crossover. Want to learn more about the vehicle? Press play on the video above.
