In October 2020, Rabiya Mateo took home the 2020 Miss Universe Philippines crown, as well as a new apartment and brand-new crossover from MG Philippines as prizes for her win. Well, she’s finally taken delivery of the latter, and she’s given it a name, too.
In a statement, the beauty queen shared that she has named her brand-new MG ZS ‘Abegail’ and that she’s incredibly excited to begin 2021 as an MG owner.
“My new MG ZS will be with me on all my Mega Getaways,” Mateo said. “As Miss Universe Philippines I travel almost every day, and I’m very happy to do so now in my comfortable and stylish ZS. I’m excited for all the extraordinary trips my ZS and I will take together, and all the possibilities to see even more of our beautiful country.”
Present during the turnover ceremony was MG Philippines president and CEO Alberto Arcilla, who said he’s certain Mateo will put her brand-new crossover to good use this year.
“We hope this new automobile will be able to assist her in her daily activities and busy schedule. I am certain Rabiya will enjoy owning this MG ZS as it complements her dynamic and warm personality. MG Philippines will ensure that her ownership experience will be as impeccable as her work with her advocacies and performance in representing our country,” Arcilla said, adding that Mateo will have full access to the brand’s aftersales support, which includes 24/7 emergency roadside support and online service consultations.
Safe to say her ownership experience will probably be a pleasant one, then. Congratulations, Rabiya, and enjoy your new ride.
